Nasim refuses tickets

LAHORE, Nov 29: Former secretary of the defunct Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan, Rafi Nasim, refused to accept two complimentary tickets sent by the Pakistan Cricket Board to watch the third Test against England which started at the Qadhafi Stadium on Tuesday.

Rafi told Dawn that he returned the tickets since the PCB director Abbas Zaidi was not ready to honour him according to his status.

“I tried to convince the PCB official that according to the status he deserved seats in VIP boxes,” Rafi said.

Meanwhile, the PCB also sent two tickets to ex-Test cricketers of different enclosures but majority of them did not turn up.

Only former Test cricketers Majid Khan and Talat Ali, however, watched the first day’s proceedings from VIP boxes, as guests of PCB director cricket operations Salim Altaf.
