MIRPURKHAS: 108 health workers reinstated


MIRPURKHAS, Nov 19: Sindh Minister for Health Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani has directed lady health workers to highlight the benefits of family planning, health and cleanliness to urban and rural women and perform their duties with dedication.

He was speaking as chief guest at a ceremony, held to distribute appointment letters among 108 reinstated lady health workers under National Programme for Family Planning and Primary Healthcare on Saturday.

It was attended by DIG Mirpurkhas Saleemullah Khan, Chairman of the District Zakat and Ushr Committee Haji Akhlaque Ahmed, Taluka Nazim Ghulam Dastagir Khan, doctors, elected representatives, and notables.

He said that efforts continued to eliminate corruption in health department and directed the doctors and paramedical staff to avoid transfer and postings and perform their duties regularly.

He announced that 130 more lady health workers would be appointed soon in Mirpurkhas.

He said that he wanted to provide health facilities in civil hospital Mirpurkhas which were available in hospitals of Karachi.
