Affected areas to have skill development centres

By Our Reporter

LAHORE, Nov 14: The Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company will establish skill development centres in quake-affected areas of Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Batgram and Balakot by March. Stating this here on Monday, TUSDEC general manager Syed Anwar Ali Pervaiz said a four-member team of the company had already visited the areas for need assessment and met the Azad Kashmir industries and labour secretary and the Batgram district coordination officer.

He said the decision to establish skill development centres in the affected areas had been taken at a meeting of the company presided over by Federal Industries Minister Jehangir Tareen on Oct 31.
