By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Nov 7: Parliamentary Secretary, Punjab Local Bodies, Rashid Hafeez has said a compact strategy is being evolved under which the government will commit the earthquake- affected orphans to the desirous people for adoption.

He said this while distributing Eid gifts among children in Liaquat Bagh tent village and Rawalpindi General Hospital on Eid day. Raja Rashid Hafeez said the Punjab government was paying full attention to the education of the displaced and orphans. He said these children would not be left alone and would be given in the custody of their surrogate parents after obtaining their complete data through Nadra.

Mr Hafeez said the Punjab government had established schools in tent villages in Chakwal, Fatehjang and other places where quality education facilities would be provided to these children.
