Middlesex may re-sign Styris

Published October 4, 2005

LONDON, Oct 3: New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris is set to return to English cricket county Middlesex for year 2006 county season. Coach John Emburey said the club had agreed another contract to Styris, who scored over 1,000 runs and took more than 60 wickets in all competitions.

Middlesex are, however, looking for a new pace bowler after deciding not to re-sign South African Nantie Hayward, who has been dogged by injurt problems.

“Everyone looks to sign a fast bowler. You need depth in that department,” Emburey said.—Agencies
