SNF, PML reach agreement in Larkana

LARKANA, Oct 3: The Sindh National Front, the Sarwan Ittehad and two factions of the Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid and Functional) reached on an agreement here on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference at the Mumtaz Bhutto’s residence here on Monday night, Amir Bakhsh Bhutto, the member of the central committee of SNF, and Haji Altaf Unnar, the district president of PML-Q said that it was decided among the parties to support the candidates of Khushhal Pakistan Panel and Sarwan Ittehad for the posts of district nazim and taluka nazim of Larkana.

While the Sarwan Ittehad along with the PML Q and F would support the SNF’s candidate for the seat of Larkana district naib nazim. They would also support the SNF candidates in Ratodero.

It was decided that the SNF would be given a free hand in Ratodero while it had to support the day-to-day affairs in the Larkana district and taluka.

Regarding talks with the PPP, Amir Bakhsh Bhutto said that they were negotiating with them till Sunday night but did not reach at any decision as the local leadership of the PPP was not independent to take decisions.

Sindh Minister Haji Altaf Unnar said that all decisions were taken after consulting the Sindh chief minister.

Those who were also present in the press conference were Qurban Abbasi, the candidate for Larkana taluka nazim, Mohammed Shah Rashdi, the candidate for Qambar taluka nazim and Mohammd Bakhsh Arijo, the candidate for Larkana district nazim.

PROTEST: A large number of villagers and relatives of the two policemen, who were murdered a month back on the outskirts of Larkana, blocked the Indus Highway near Bugti village on Monday against the police.

They burnt tyres and interrupted traffic for an hour.

Allah Rakhiyo Marri and Haji Mohammed Ali Bugti led the protest.

They alleged that the investigation wing of Larkana police was contemplating to exclude the names of Jawed Mahar and Papoo Mahar from the murder case of Shaukat Bugti and Riaz Korkani.
