DADU: Protest against Hesco

DADU, Oct 3: Hundreds of students of three universities - Mehran, Sindh and Liaquat along with residents of 20 colonies of these universities held a protest demonstration against power failure on the campus since last three weeks.

The protesters stopped the federal minister for water and power, Liaquat Ali Jatoi, who was going to Karachi, and raised slogans before him.

They also chanted slogans against construction of the Kalabagh dam and the greater Thal canal.

Exchange of hot words took place between security officers of the minister and the students. Later, the local administration arrived there and held negotiations with the students.

However, the protest continued till late hours of the night.
