KARACHI, Sept 29: Farouq H Rahimtoola and Rear Admiral (Retd) S Hamid Khalid have been elected chairman and vice-chairman of the Pakistan Ship’s Agents Association (PSAA) for the year 2005-06, respectively.
The annual general meeting of the association held here on Thursday also elected other office bearers. They are: Capt Nusrat Iqbal (honorary secretary) and Amir Abbas (honorary treasurer). The committee members are: Athar Adil Mallick, Ms Ava A Cowasjee, Khalid W Khokhar, Capt. S Khalid Hashmi and Ovais-ur-Rehman, says a press release.
PCGA: Muhammad Azam has been elected vice-chairman of Pakistan Cotton Ginners’ Association (PCGA) for the year 2005-06. Besides, five vice-chairmen were also elected, they were: Mian Mahmood Ahmed, Tariq Iqbal, Nasir Mahmood, Sajad Hussain Gorya, Mahfooz Ahmed Bajwa, says a press release.
PLGMEA: Ch Ahmed Zulfiqar Hayat has unanimously been elected chairman of Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (Plgmea) for the year 2005-06.
Hassan Ali Bhatti and Rashid Ahmed Zahir have been elected vice-chairmen of the association from Northern and Southern Zones respectively, says a press release.
PRGMEA: Atiq Kochra has been elected unopposed chairman of the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (Prgmea) Sindh-Balochistan Zone for the year 2005-06.
The association in its annual general meeting held recently also elected new members to the Central Managing Committee (CMC) and Zonal Managing Committee. The CMC members elected were Tahir Aziz and Abdur Rahman.
The new zonal managing committee members elected were Masood Naqi, Tahir Aziz, Abdur Rahman, Abdul Wahid Bandukda and Mohammad Afzal, says a press release.
TAAP: Mohammad Nadeem Sharif has been elected chairman of the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP) for the year 2005-06.
According to a press release other elected office-bearers include: Alim Javed Choudhry (vice-chairman), Raees Ahmed Siddiqui (regional chairman, zone-A) and Shuja Farid (regional chairman, zone-B).
PWHEA: Hamid Latif has been elected chairman and Amanullah Farouk vice-chairman of the Pakistan Wool and Hair Exporters Association (PWHEA) for the year 2005-06, respectively, says a press release.
