RAWALPINDI, Sept 28: Pakistan and India on Wednesday held in-depth discussions on adding more destinations, designation of multiple airlines and increasing frequency of flights.
The two-day civil aviation talks were held here in the ministry of defence. Both sides agreed to continue discussions.
According to a joint statement, the talks were held in a cordial atmosphere. Next meeting would be held at a mutually convenient date.
The Pakistani delegation was led by additional secretary defence Muhammad Ashraf Chaudhry while the Indian delegation was led by Satendra Singh, director-general, ministry of civil aviation.
The two sides also discussed the expansion of the Lahore-New Delhi and Karachi-Mumbai routes.—APP/PPI
