KARACHI, Aug 31: Four ships including two vessels with about 24,000 tons of sugar are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, APL Cairo, Elbe Oldendroff, Bunga Terasek to unload and load containers, Genco Wisdome to offload DAP fertilizer, CEC Action to load general cargo and Zhong Yang Men to offload soda ash.

Three vessels, Zhong Jiang He, Marwah and Banglar Doot departed on Wednesday, while Durban Queen, Dong She Hai, APL Cairo, Bunga Terasek and some others are due to sail out on Thursday.

Owing to larger handling of liquid cargo the total tonnage rose to 0.125m tons comprising 20,865 tons of export cargo and 0.104m tons of import cargo including 4,934 tons of sugar.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Rainbow Spring, Feng Ping, with 10,534 and 13,000 tons of sugar, Kota Waruna, Golden Express and Corin Thaikos, with containers.
