KARACHI, Aug 3: Senator Prof Ghafoor Ahmad has filed an adjournment motion in the National Assembly against the deportation of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman by UAE authorities. In the motion he has stated that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman is a respected political leader and member of the parliament.
The action taken by a friendly country was condemnable as it may adversely affect mutual relations between Pakistan and UAE. Prof Ghafoor has requested the house to discuss the reasons and consequences of this unwarranted action.
