KARACHI, July 22: Seven ships carrying RBD palm olein, chemicals and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest owing to slow arrivals of foreign vessels. As a result, four ships, Tai He, Golden Express, Corin Thaikos to unload and load containers, and Santa Fe, to load rice, were berthed after the departure of six.
The ships, which departed included Kota Wangi, Y.M. Energy, Hyundai Advance, Golden Express, Kota Wangi and Stolt Vanguard, while Tai Hem, Kota Tabah, Emperor, Maersk Alaska, and Capetan Michalis are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 71,787 tons comprising 16,160 tons of export cargo and 55,627 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Iran Shahryar, with containers, Bunga Cenderawasih, with 7,000 tons of RBD palm olein, Nur Yanbu, with 4,000 tons of chemicals, Lalazar, with 67,000 tons of crude oil, Annemiekke, Bao Heng Men, with project cargo, and Darya Yog, with steel.
