Wapda, Army top groups

RAWALPINDI, July 20: Pakistan Army downed Sindh Government Press (SGP) 2-0 while Wapda crushed KESC 3-0 in the national football Challenge Cup on Wednesday. The scorers for Pakistan Army against the Karachi-based SGP in the Group-II match at Army Stadium were Imran Hussain (11th minute) and Muhammad Imran (69th minute).

Babar Mehmud was the playmaker for the soldiers as he kept his strikers and middlemen on their toes.

In the match at Faisalabad, the scorers were Arif Mehmud (7th minute), Muhammad Niaz (36th) and again Arif Mehmud (45th).

Arif Mehmud is now the leading scorer with four goals in this final phase of the tournament being played simultaneously at Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.

Wapda now lead Group-I while Army top Group-II.
