KARACHI: Shopkeeper stabbed to death

KARACHI, July 16: A man was stabbed to death by unidentified men on his shop in Nazimabad here on Saturday. Police said Shafiq Ahmed, 22, opened his grocery shop near his home in Khamosh Colony in the morning when some unidentified men stabbed him and fled. Shafiq was taken to Abbasi Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The body was later dispatched to Quetta, the native town of the victim.

ACCIDENTS: Three people, including a boy, died in road accidents on Saturday.

Police said two men on a motorcycle were hit by a vehicle on Native Jetty bridge. The two, identified as Aijaz Hussain, 40, and Azam Khan, 26, were seriously injured.

As the motorbike caught fire, Azam suffered burns wounds. Aijaz was taken to JPMC and Azam to Civil Hospital where both were pronounced dead on arrival.

In Mochko police limits, a truck (LS-3440) knocked down a 12-year-old boy Abdul Razzak, who died on the spot in Mohammad Khan Colony, Ittehad Town.

Area people got provoked and pelted the truck with stones smashing its windscreen and windowpanes.
