DERA GHAZI KHAN, July 6: Sixteen more mauzas were affected by high flood in the River Indus, the district coordination officer said here on Wednesday. The recently affected areas are Sabza Nacha, Basti Bhai, Mastoiwala, Chah Dhoreywala, Haidwala Guliter, Habat Mastoi, Jhoke Utra, Hadair Malana, Haji Kamand, Noorpur, Bait Mastoi, Nooria Koria Sharqi and Gharbi, Haji Ghazi Sharqi and Gharbi and Baitwala.

On Tuesday, 25 mauzas of Taunsa Sharif and Dera Ghazi Khan tehsils were badly affected by flood.

A large number of inhabitants have vacated the area.

Meanwhile, the people alleged that the district administration had not provided them with camps.

The district administration has claimed to carry out relief work in affected areas.

GASTROENTERITIS: As many as 18 more patients of gastroenteritis have been admitted to the emergency ward of the DG Khan hospital.

They have been identified as Mohammad Malik of Block 47, Abdula of Chorata, Shahid Khan of Ghousabad, Marium Bibi of Block 47, Sakeena of Block 43, Fatima of Block 47, Murad Bibi, Mrs Ashraf Block 1, Nadeem Slahudin Shah, Sadar Din, Mohammed Umer, Islamuddin, Ghulam Farid, Mohammed Khurshid, Sakeena of Block 45, Kishwar of Block 13, Haji Ghulam Mohammed and Amina of Block 47.
