By Our Correspondent

GUJRANWALA, July 6: District and Sessions Judge Mazher Husain Minhas on Wednesday awarded one-month imprisonment to the complainant of a case on contempt of court charges. Reports said Fiaz Ahmad had moved the court to take the custody of his minor son from his ex-wife Samia Bibi. The judge had summoned Samia for hearing. As she entered the court, Fiaz snatched his son from her. As a result of which the woman raised an alarm. The judge got him arrested and awarded imprisonment to him.

ARRESTED: City circle police claimed to have arrested three dacoits’ gangs and recovered illicit arms, narcotics and looted goods during a special drive in June.

This was stated by city circle ASP Waqar Ahmad in a briefing here on Wednesday.

The ASP said as many as 50 cases of illicit arms were registered against criminals while 32 revolvers, five carbins, three pistols, two guns and as many rifles were recovered from their possession.
