Dr Qadeer’s reports clear, says ISPR

By Syed Irfan Raza

ISLAMABAD, June 17: Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan underwent angiography on Friday and all medical reports were clear, Inter Services Public Relation Director-General Maj-Gen Shaukat Sultan told Dawn.

The ISPR chief said that the angiography was carried out in the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) after which he was taken back home.

“There is nothing serious as all reports are clear and he is fine,” the official said.

Dr Khan was shifted to the AFIC on Thursday after he complained of chest pain.

A source said that since December 2004 when the scientist had been taken into what the government said “protective custody” it was the first time that he was sent to any hospital.
