KARACHI, June 1: The Sindh Minister for Planning and Development, Syed Shoaib Bukhari, inaugurated the Government Boys Primary School Maulvi Abdul Haq project in Sector 11/E Orangi Town on Wednesday. The project cost Rs10 million and covers 8,303 sq-ft. It includes five classrooms, an administration block, science and drawing halls, library, store, workshop, and an auditorium.
The minister also laid the foundation stone of an intermediate section project at the Government Boys and Girls Secondary School in Orangi Town.
The project includes construction of four classrooms, an administration block, an IT plus three labs and an auditorium hall. The project covering 12,203 sq-ft will cost Rs20 million.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the provincial government was taking revolutionary steps to increase the literacy ratio.
He said reforms were being carried out to raise the standard of education and to increase enrolment in schools and colleges. MPA Abdul Quddus, DO Mohammad Zakir and DDO Mohammad Asim were also present.—PPI
