Saba shines

LAHORE, May 30: Fine batting by Saba Arslan enabled Punjab University Teaching Department (PUTD) to enter the semifinals of the university’s women Inter-collegiate cricket championship beating Government College, Samanabad, Lahore by 21 runs here on Monday.

Saba scored 68 with 11 fours as the winners piled up 149 for three in 20 overs. In reply, the losers were 128 for five before the allotted overs were completed. Three players were run out.

PUTD 149 for three, 20 overs (Saba Arslan 68, Bushra 18).

SAMANABAD 128 for five, 20 overs (Beenish Asif 36, Zainab 14,Ayesha 11).
