ISLAMABAD: A top official of the PCB reiterated on Wednesday that Islamabad will soon have an international cricket stadium. Chairman of the Board, Shaharyar M Khan who was in Islamabad to witness the Islamabad region final of the National Inter-school championship, said categorically that the stadium would be made.
“We are preparing for it because for the future we need to have a top ground in the Capital.”
On the occasion he announced that academy or “A” teams of New Zealand and Australia will be playing a triangular series in Pakistan in September-October this year.
Later, he gave away certificates to the winning City School team and the losing finalists FG Model School for Boys G9/4.
City School scored a 72-run victory at the Diamond ground with Man-of-the-Match award going to Omer Amin who took three wickets besides scoring 30 runs.
