Pakistani golfers for Sri Lanka
LAHORE, May 3: A three-member Pakistan team will leave for Sri Lanka on Wednesday to defend its title in the 7th Saarc golf championships to be held at the Victoria Club course, Kandy from Thursday to Sunday. The team comprises Vaqas Ahmed, Tariq Mehmood and Waseem Rana. A spokesman of the Pakistan Golf Federation said that the team was selected on the basis of the performance of players throughout the year. Pakistan won the last event held in Lahore in July last year. Earlier, India had won the first five episodes.
