US general meets Musharraf
RAWALPINDI, May 2: Commander-in-Chief of US Central Command General John P. Abizaid, currently on an official visit to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on President General Pervez Musharraf here on Monday afternoon. They exchanged views on the prevailing geo-strategic international and regional geo-strategic environment.
US Embassy spokesman Greggory Crouch said Gen Abizaid’s short official visit was for ‘routine consultations’ with President Musharraf and other senior military leaders.
“The Centcom chief will be discussing Pakistan’s cooperation in the war on terror and issues related to regional security,” Mr Crouch added.—APP
