KARACHI: IJT holds protest demo

KARACHI, April 27: Scores of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) activists on Wednesday held a protest demonstration in front of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) against the ongoing violence at educational institutes, and to press the government for arresting the killers of its activist, Farhan Asif.

The IJT workers, who gathered at the KPC from various educational institutes, colleges and varsities of the city, were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against terrorism, violence at educational institutes, government interference and support to terrorists, and demands of arresting terrorists involved in murdering students.

On the occasion, they chanted slogans against the Sindh governor, provincial ministers and advisers, the MQM and held them responsible for atrocities against political opponents in Karachi.—PPI
