Support for new dams sought

DERA MURAD JAMALI, April 24: Federal Minister Sardar Yar Muhammad Khan Rind has asked the people to support construction of new dams. Speaking at a public meeting on Sunday at Usta Muhammad, he announced establishment of an agricultural university in the area and said the government had decided to transform Balochistan into the most developed province of the country.

The report of the parliamentary committee on Balochistan would soon be made public and all issues solved amicably paving the way for development in Dera Bugti, Sui and other areas of the province.

About the peace process, he said President Gen Pervez Musharraf had played a significant role to solve the Kashmir issue.—APP
