LAHORE, April 24: District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has said the computerized transfer of land ownership will begin in the city district from next month. Speaking at the foundation-stone laying ceremony of the Government Girls Intermediate College at Raiwind on Sunday, the district nazim said the district’s land record had been computerized.
He said the computerization of land record had eliminated the possibility of tampering with it by patwaris or burning of the revenue records for grabbing the lands.
The Nadra Swift Centre, he said, would be opened at Raiwind for providing the land ownership certification and transfer facility.
Mian Mahmood said the construction of Raiwind girls intermediate college would be completed at a cost of Rs25 million in one year.
College Principal Shahida Butt said the college had been functioning in a rented building since September 1995 in anticipation of the construction of its own building.
Later on, the district nazim also inaugurated the Government Boys High School, Raiwind, building which was completed with an expenditure of Rs32.21 million.
