Feroze Khan laid to rest


KARACHI, April 21: World’s oldest hockey Olympic medal winner Feroze Khan, who died on Wednesday evening, was laid to rest at Gizri Graveyard on Thursday. His funeral was attended by former Olympians, hockey organizers, military officials apart from friends and relatives.

Feroze’s soyem will be held on Friday at 5-B/2, 21st Street Phase V, Defence Housing Authority between 4.00pm and 6.30pm.

Jalandhar-born Feroze, who was part of Indian hockey team which won the gold at 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, had celebrated his 100th birthday last September.—APP
