HYDERABAD, April 19: Hesco has launched a campaign against Sindh government departments for recovery of dues and has cut power supply to 253 consumers, except in Hyderabad. A spokesman for Hesco said the company had so far spared water and drainage connections but warned that after 12th Rabiul Awal, connections of the Hyderabad Development Authority and water and sewerage connections would also be cut.

He said power supply to departments which cleared their arrears by April 22 would not be disconnected.

He made it clear that no further concession would be given to defaulters.

He advised commercial consumers to clear their dues to avoid power disconnections.

Meanwhile, Hesco chief Syed Adeebul Hassan Rizvi has been promoted to the post of general manager in view of his performance.
