DADU: ‘Poets are voice of people’

By Our Correspondent

DADU, April 17: Chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party (Shaheed Bhutto), Ghinwa Bhutto, has said that poets are the voice of oppressed people as they struggle against the sufferings of the downtrodden through their poetry. Speaking as chief guest at the concluding session of a two-day ‘Sughar Conference’ held in Pir Tarho village, Dadu taluka, on Saturday night, she asserted that poets followed the sentiments prevalent in the society.

Ms Ghinwa said that the PPP-SB would not accept the transfer of the Bhutto Legacy to Nawabshah, and added that former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a true leader who introduced democracy in real terms in the country.
