COLOMBO, April 15 : Five persons were killed and two sustained injuries on Friday in an attack by the LTTE on supporters of renegade commander Karuna, in the village of Seruwila bordering the eastern Batticaloa district. The LTTE claimed that among those killed were members of a local paramilitary group, ENDLF, based in South India, which the Tamil Tigers accuse of assisting Karuna.
The Lankan government military too is accused by the LTTE of assisting the dissident militant.
