KARACHI, April 14: Five ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Owing to steady arrivals of foreign flag vessels during the last couple of days, berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight vessels were berthed. They are: Oranje, Kota Teguh, Hyundai Future, Kota Warnua, Thor Captain, YM Star and Iran Baabaei to unload and load containers, and Banga Lanka, to offload general

cargo.

Five ships, Globe Princess, APL Cairo, Sagamore, Kota Waruna and Wilmington, departed on Thursday, while YM Star, Pegasus Ace, Iran Baabaei, Kota Teguh, Globe Express, Chembulk Yokohama, and Eax Sancity are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.111m tons comprising 17,959 tons of export cargo, including 1,271 tons of cement and 92,572 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Wan Hai-261, Wester Muehlen, and Oriental Prosperity, with containers, Hua Shan, with general cargo and Archangelos Gabriel to load 25,000 tons of naphtha.
