20 houses gutted

BADIN, April 11: Twenty houses were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in Nao village near Lowari Sharif some 11 kilometres from here on Monday. Property over rupees one million was destroyed and at least 20 families were rendered homeless. The fire which started from a house due to strong winds engulfed the entire village. A villager was injured in the fire.

At least four cattle including two goats and household including ornaments, grain, paddy and cash were burned.

Residents and passers-by rushed with buckets of water to extinguish fire.

Houses of Allah Dino, Soomal, Maqbool, Ajoo Mallah, Aijaz, Ibrahim, Vikio, Juman, Bachal, Aziz, Ramzan, Malookan, Soomar and others were completely burned.
