Pakistan helps China to join pilots’ association
BEIJING, April 10: The China Pilot Association formally joined the International Federation of the Airline Pilots Association (IFALPA) at its meeting held at Capetown, USA, thanks to the efforts of the Pakistani side in this connection, said a senior official of the China Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA). He told the APP that China could secure the membership of the association after a series of meetings held between the China Pilot Association and the IFALPA.
A Pakistani pilot, Feroze Aftab Khan, who recently retired from the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), in his capacity as the executive member of the IFALPA had made hectic efforts in arranging these meetings, he added.
Lauding his efforts, the official said it manifests Pakistan’s commitment for enhancing bilateral partnership at international level.
Sources said the IFALPA has announced a special award for Mr Feroze, recognizing his contribution towards making China its member.—APP
