KARACHI: Homage paid to Ahmad Raza

KARACHI, April 10: A former Sindh governor Lt-Gen (r) Moeenuddin Haider has stressed the need for scholarly debates and practical compliance of Islam, as well as highlighting the true spirit of the religion which preaches peace and tranquillity. Mr Haider was speaking as the chief guest at the first session of the two-day International Silver Jubilee Conference organized by Idara Tahqeeqat-i-Imam Ahmad Raza here on Sunday.

“Imam Ahmad Raza played an important role in guiding people on how to practise Sunnat-i-Nabavi,” Gen Haider said, impressing upon faithful to adopt the right path instead of indulging in fighting against each other and thus causing harm to themselves as well as Islam.

Others who spoke on the occasion included Prof Mohammad Masood Ahmad, Mufti-i-Azam, Syria, Dr Abdul Fatah Albazm Naqshbandi, Mufti-i-Syria Dr Adnan Dervesh Naqshbandi Shazli, Imam of the Shahi Masjid, Delhi and Mufti-i-Azam Hind Dr Mohammad Mukkaram Ahmad Naqshbandi, Prof Zahoor Ahmad Azhar, Allama Syed Wajahat Rasool Qadari and Prof Majeedullah Qadari.
