Warrants for SHO

SAHIWAL, April 4: Additional District and Sessions Judge Syed Hamid Hussain Shah on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for an SHO in a contempt of court case. The DPO has been asked to produce the accused in the court on April 8. Reports said advocate Ziarat Khan Lodhi submitted that the court had ordered Grain Market SHO Shafqat Mahmood on March 28 to register his motorcycle-snatching case, but he did not comply with the orders.

BUS LOOTED: Four bandits travelling in a wagon looted passengers and took away the vehicle here on Monday near Chak 78/5-R.

Reports said the bandits hijacked the wagon (SAW-9999), looted Rs40,000 from passengers and drove away with the vehicle after throwing them out. The outlaws tied driver Muhammad Aslam with a tree.

Police have registered a case.

INJURED: A shopkeeper and his friend were shot injured here on Sunday night by two bandits on offering resistance.

Reports said Muhammad Javed Anjam and his friend Muhammad Sarwar were sitting in the shop when the outlaws opened fire on offering resistance.

Fateh Sher police have registered a case.

IMPOSTOR HELD: A man was caught red-handed here on Monday while posing as special branch police officer.

Reports said Muhammad Saleem was extorting money from Rashid Ali and others when the city police on a tip-off arrested him.

A case has been registered under Section 170 of the PPC.

Meanwhile, Harappa police arrested Patwari Muhammad Hanif for stealing electricity.
