NAWABSHAH: MPA arrested

NAWABSHAH, April 4: Police on Monday arrested the acting president of People’s Party Parliamentarians, Nawabshah district, MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio, here on Monday. The Daur police arrested the MPA near the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology on the Sakrand Road while he was going to his village, Punhal Khan Chandio.

Rashid Chandio, information secretary of the Nawabshah PPP, told Dawn that police had taken Ghulam Qadir to an unknown place. He said the reason for his arrest was not known.

Despite efforts, the Daur SHO and the DPO could not be contacted.—Correspondent
