Compensation demanded

Bureau report

PESHAWAR, April 2: The Sarhad Petroleum Cartage and Dealers Association has expressed its dismay over the damage caused to petrol pumps and shops situated on the university road by miscreants during the Ponam strike on Thursday.

SPCDA chairman Mansoor Sharif, in a press release, urged the NWFP government to take action against the culprits involved in the ransacking of private property, compensate the owners and provide security to service stations.

He said the government should provide full security to petrol pumps and their owners.

He demanded of the government to pay compensation to affected owners of service stations and shopkeepers immediately.
