QUETTA, March 11: A powerful explosion on Friday afternoon left five workers injured in a steel factory in Killi Karani, on the outskirts of Quetta.

Labourers were busy in Bolan Steel Factory when a pipe exploded in the foundry and injured the workers. They were admitted to the civil hospital sources said.

“The pipe was thrown in the foundry with scrap,” an injured labour told reporters. However, he ruled out any subversion behind the accident.

Police also said it was not a bomb blast. The injured include Abdul Sattar, Mohammad Arshad, Abdul Hameed, Tahir Mohammad and Abdul Sattar Shah.
