LHC serves notice on Shaharyar
LAHORE, Jan 25: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar M. Khan for appointing Mrs Mira Failbus as women cricket convenor.
The notice was issued on a writ petition filed by Punjab Women Cricket Association (PWCA) secretary Azra Parveen.
The petitioner contended that the appointment was made ignoring those women who had been serving the game for the last two decades. Azra had also staged a demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club against the appointment early this month.
