Quaid's 128th birth anniversary today

ISLAMABAD, Dec 24: The nation will celebrate the 128th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, on Saturday with enthusiasm and fervour.

The day has been declared a public holiday. The national flag will fly at principal government buildings throughout the country. The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the soul of the Quaid. The change of guards ceremony will take place at the Mazar-i-Quaid in the morning.

Political, social and literary organizations have planned programmes to mark the day in a befitting manner. Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television have arranged special programmes on the life, ideas and achievements of the Quaid-i-Azam.

Scouts rallies and march-pasts of schoolchildren will also be held. Documentary films on Quaid-i-Azam will be shown in cinema houses. Special exhibitions of relics of the Quaid will also be held. -PPI
