PESHAWAR, Dec 12: The leader of the Businessmen Forum and former president of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Senator Ilyas Bilour, has claimed that his group's panel of candidates is set to sweep the upcoming elections of the apex trade body of the country.

Addressing a press conference at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here on Sunday, he said he and his group believed in serving the business community. Accusing the sitting management of the FPCCI of indulging in corruption, he said that after winning the election, the Businessmen Forum would probe into the 'corrupt' practices and publish a white paper on it.

Confident of getting the support of the businessmen community, Mr Bilour said his group had defeated Tariq Saeed-led Businessmen Panel in recent past. He said elections for the 24 A class association would be held on Dec 14, which would be followed by elections for B class associations on Dec16.
