FALLUJAH, Nov 26: Two Marines were killed and three others wounded when they came under fire during house-clearing operations in Fallujah, the US military said on Friday.
Lt Gen John F. Sattler, commanding general of the First Marine Expeditionary Force, said the soldiers were ambushed on Thursday by guerillas from inside a house as they entered it.
Marines responded with gunfire, killing three guerillas hiding inside, Gen Sattler said. -AFP
