KARACHI, Nov 17: Police arrested a suspect, involved in the murder of two women on Chand Raat in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, from Gulshan-i-Hadeed on Wednesday. DSP Javed Aslam told Dawn that the suspect, Mubashir Husain, was nabbed by the Sharea Faisal investigation police on the identification of an 11-year-old housemaid, Nadia, who had survived the incident.

Jamal Mustafa's wife Erum and one of her housemaids, Shabana, were killed inside an apartment in Supreme Castle, Block-19, on Saturday night. Police said the suspect along with a few other persons used to work at the shop of victim's husband, Jamal Mustafa.

They said Erum was also an employee at the same shop before getting married four years ago. Quoting Jamal's statement, police said Erum had told him (Jamal) that Mubashir had been disturbing her on telephone. Police said when Nadia, who had escaped death, was shown the pictures of all employees of the shop she recognized Mubashir who had tried to kill her.
