Afghans urged to vote for Karzai

By Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 3: Abdul Bari Marufi, chief campaigner for Afghan President Hamid Karzai, urged the Afghan refugees to fully take part in the polling on October 9.

Mr Marufi on Sunday visited several refugee camps in Quetta and its adjoining areas where he addressed his compatriots and expressed his pleasure over the response from the refugees during the registration drive in Balochistan, in the NWFP and in Islamabad.

He said that a large number of women also turned up to get them selves registered as voters. Mr Marufi said that President Karzai was striving for establishing peace in Afghanistan.
