Conspiracies bound to fail, says Altaf

Published September 5, 2004

KARACHI, Sept 4: MQM chief Altaf Hussain said on Saturday that the alleged conspiracies of the intelligence agencies to fragment the party would never succeed.

He made this claim while talking to sectors in charge of the party on Friday night during which he recounted such conspiracies in the past.

He claimed that since the inception of the APMSO, secret agencies had been directly or indirectly conspiring to harm the party through strong-arm and coercive tactics.

Mr Hussain alleged that since he and his party colleagues had advocated grievances of the people, the agencies had stepped up their conspiracies.

He said in the past the agencies failed despite luring away some weak links, but failed in their objective of destroying the movement and declared that the MQM shall survive all conspiracies.

Referring to various other movements, he asked the workers to remain prepared for confronting such designs.
