3 security men die in encounter

QUETTA, Aug 30: Three personnel of the Balochistan Reserve Police and the Levies were killed and another injured in an encounter with unknown men in the Chatar area of Nasirabad district on Monday.

According to sources, Chatar Naib Tehsildar Khadim Hussain Khosa was patrolling with Levies and Balochistan Reserve Police on Monday morning when the assailants opened fire with automatic weapons on the party near the Mir Hasan Shahar village.

Two BRP personnel were killed and two Levies men, including the driver of the vehicle, received serious injuries. They were taken to the Dera Murad Jamali Civil Hospital, where one of them succumbed to his injuries.

The Levies and BRP personnel chased the assailants and exchanged fire with them but they escaped. The deceased were identified as Shaukat Ali, Abdul Razaq and Bahadur Khan Solangi.
