MANSEHRA: Seven shot dead in Kohistan

MANSEHRA, Aug 28: Seven people were killed and one injured in remote Kohistan district in three separate incidents of firing during the last 24 hours.

According to reports reaching here on Saturday, Mohammad Naeem Khan, Naseer Khan, and Gulistan, residents of Yaro and Kardar, were going somewhere in the jurisdiction of Palas police station.

Their suspected rivals Manamir, Mian Zar, Taushoon, Nausher, Zain and Khushmir allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on them.

As a result, Naseer Khan, Gulistan and Mohammad Naeem died on the spot.

In another incident, Badshah, Palas, Bakht Zarin, Mishal, Cheri and Abdul Malik allegedly shot dead two brothers Zargar and Ghandal and a woman Tajori Bibi over a marriage dispute in the limits of Bataira police station.

In the third incident, a young man killed his mother and injured his father by opening fire on them. Their names could not be known. The incident happened in Bataira police station's jurisdiction.

Police have registered cases and launched investigations.
