Musharraf greets Kalam

ISLAMABAD, Aug 14: President General Pervez Musharraf has extended greetings to his Indian counterpart A.P.J. Abdul Kalam over the country's independence day on August 15.

The President in his message said, "on the anniversary of India's independence, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you and the people of India our felicitations and warm greetings."

"Please accept, excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration," the President added.

Shujaat: Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has greeted his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh on their independence day falling on August 15.

The Prime Minister in his message said, "as the government and people of India celebrate the anniversary of their independence, I wish to convey on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf our warm greetings and felicitations.

Please accept, excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration." -APP
