Rockets fired at police lines

PESHAWAR, July 16: The district police lines in Tank came under a rocket attack in the early hours of Friday.

The attackers fired three rockets, one of which exploded. They escaped when policemen returned fire. No casualty or damage was reported.

Police sources said the rockets had been fired from a close range. The deputy inspector general of police, Dera Ismail Khan range, Habibur Rehman, said the rockets, fired at around 1.30am, flew over the police lines and landed nearby. He said only one of the rockets exploded but caused no casualties.
