PESHAWAR, May 2: The Khyber Union of Journalists will elect its office-bearers at the Peshawar Press Club on May 10, a press release said. A meeting of the election committee held here on Sunday issued the final list of candidates.

Zalan Moomand and Sajjad Haider will contest for the office of the president and Shahid Hamid, Mohammad Ibrahim Khanand Inamur Rehman are in the run for the office of general secretary.

Ashfaq Yusufzai, Tariq Afaq and Ashfaq Ahmad are the candidates for finance secretary and 16, including,Syed Bokhar Shah, Abdul Qudoos, Shamim Shahid, Jamshaid Baghwan, Ihtesham Bashir, Saiful Islam Saifi, Mohammad Ali Khan, Musarratullah, Abid Pervaiz, Amir Pirzada, Mahmood Jan Babar, Abdur Rehman, Safiulah, Sharif Mohmand, Syed Amir Ali Shah and Iftikhar Hussain, are in the run for nine seats of the executive council.
