KARACHI, April 29: The first list of candidates who emerged successful in interviews for the appointment of ad hoc lecturers in Sindh colleges would be released shortly, said sources in the Sindh Public Service Commission.
Five committees, comprising members of the SPSC and officials of education department, had interviewed about 3,400 candidates and carried out short-listing after their written test on March 15.
The subject-wise interviews are likely to be completed in the first week of May. A senior official at the SPSC said on Thursday said that interviews of candidates under some categories had been finalized and, as such, their results would be released within a week.
The subject-wise list of successful candidates duly signed by two members of the interview committees and endorsed by the SPSC chairman would be sent to Secretary Education for further action.
A total of 752 posts had been advertised for appointments on contract basis for a period of three months. In order to ensure transparency and avoid any discrepancy at any stage, the list of selected candidates, with their merit under rural and urban quotas, would be kept at the SPSC and would also be advertised through newspapers, added the source.
